Playbooks · Where the money actually lands
Sell it
Local cash, eBay net, trade-in floors — and the photos and title that make a unit sell in days instead of weeks.
Three prices
Every unit has three prices and the app shows two of them. Sells-for is local cash: what a buyer in your city hands you for a clean unit this week. The eBay median is what the same unit lists for nationally; subtract roughly 13.6% in fees, $0.40, and shipping and you get eBay net, which is usually your floor. Trade-in (Apple, Best Buy, carriers, GameStop) is the hard floor: lower still, but instant and certain. Buy against sells-for, sleep against the floor.
Photos
Daylight, plain surface, no clutter, no reflections of you. The unit powered on at the home screen. The About / model screen. Every included part laid out. Any flaw, close up; a photographed scratch costs you $10, a discovered scratch costs you the sale and a bad review.
Title
Exact model, storage, "unlocked" for phones, "not banned" for consoles, one word about condition. "iPhone 15 Pro 256GB Unlocked — Battery 94%". Buyers search these words; the ones who do not are not your buyers.
Price to move
List at the sells-for price. If nobody messages in 72 hours, drop 5% and refresh the listing. Holding out for $20 more for two weeks costs more than $20 in time and in the model losing value. Phones lose value monthly; consoles hold.
When you are the seller
Same meeting rules, reversed. Public place, daylight, cash, count it. Reset the unit in front of the buyer so they see it is clean. Give them the cable. A buyer who had a good experience is the next person who sells you a phone.
