What First Pounce does

It scans Facebook Marketplace around you for phones, consoles and other electronics that are priced under what they resell for, and tells you the most you can pay and still make money. You do the buying, the meeting and the selling. We never message sellers for you and we never ask for your Facebook or eBay login.

Common questions

How is the ceiling calculated?

From recent sold prices on eBay for that exact model and storage, minus the fees and the costs of a flip, minus the margin you would want to keep. Every deal shows its ceiling, the expected sale price and the evidence date. Ceilings are guidance, not a promise: inspect before you buy.

Why did a listing get flagged?

Listings that say one thing in the title and another in the description, that leave the storage or carrier lock unstated, or that show a code or a password in the title are flagged so you check before you drive. Muted words in Settings hide listings you never want to see.

Push alerts are not arriving

Turn on Pounce notifications in Settings and allow notifications for First Pounce in iOS Settings. Alerts arrive while your plan is active, between 6 am and 11 pm local time.

Subscriptions, trials and refunds

Pro and Crew are monthly subscriptions billed by Apple, with a 7-day free trial. Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions; cancelling before the trial ends means you are not charged. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Delete my account and data

Settings → Account → Delete my account removes your account and alert registration from inside the app, immediately. Or email hello@firstpounce.com from the address on the account and we delete the account and every record tied to it within 7 days. Device registrations expire on their own 30 days after last use.

Report a problem

Email hello@firstpounce.com with your phone model, the app version (Settings → About) and a screenshot. Wrong ceilings and misread listings are the most useful reports: include the listing title and what the app said.
