Jordan 4 Bred
The Bred 4 is the reference sneaker: retro'd in 2012, 2019 and again in 2024 ("Bred Reimagined"), always in demand in every size, and the pair fakes are built to copy. The ceiling here is for a men's 10.5, the most-traded size; other sizes price differently, and a replica is worth nothing.

Is it the right one?
- Style codes: 308497-060 (2019 retro, Nike Air on the heel), FV5029-006 (2024 Reimagined). The code on the box label matches the tag inside the tongue.
- Size tag inside: US 10.5 · UK 9.5 · EUR 44.5 for this ceiling; the tag font, spacing and stitching are the first authenticity tell.
- Black nubuck with cement-gray mesh netting and red accents; 2019 pairs have "Nike Air" on the heel, 2024 pairs a slightly different shape and a new box.
Before you drive
- Ask for the style code on the box label and the size tag inside the shoe, in photos, before you drive. They must match each other and the colorway; a "no box" pair prices lower and needs more proof.
- Ask where it came from: a receipt, a SNKRS or StockX order screenshot, a retailer bag. No story is a lower price, not a walk.
- In person: the size tag stitching, the shape of the toe box, the heel tab, the glue lines, the smell. Compare to the reference photo, not to memory.
- Pay after the box, the tags and the shoe agree and the pair passes the checks below.

What to check in person

- Laces, tissue and hang tag add to a deadstock price; missing ones do not lower a worn price.

- The whole risk in sneakers. Replica pairs are good enough now that the box, the tags and the smell are the tells: fake boxes are the wrong shade and slightly off-size, tags have wrong fonts and spacing, the glue smells sharp. Authenticate before paying, every time; a $20 authentication app or a StockX/GOAT sale as the exit removes the risk.
- Wrong size, wrong tag
- A pair with a swapped size tag or a box from another pair. The size tag inside, the box label and the shoe must agree.
- "Deadstock" that was worn
- Look at the outsole, the insole print, the heel drag. Worn pairs are fine; worn pairs sold as deadstock are the price of a deadstock pair minus 30%.
- Box only, or the "replacement box"
- A replacement box lowers the price and is sometimes a way to move a fake into a real box.
- Shipping-only sellers with too-good prices
- Local, in person, cash. A $180 pair for $90 shipped is a fake or nothing.

Then, before you drive: "Could you send a quick video of it powering on and working? Then I'll head straight over with cash."
Where it sells
- Local sells to people who want to try them on; eBay, StockX and GOAT sell the same pair nationally with authentication (StockX and GOAT take 9–12% and ship the pair to them first). Price local at the sells-for number, use the platforms as the floor.
- Photograph on white: both shoes, the soles, the size tag, the box label, any wear. Buyers ask for the tag photo first.
- One size is one market. A size 9 and a size 13 of the same shoe are different prices; the ceiling is for the size you entered.
